Who are we?

Post 121 is a firm believer in “Veterans still serving America” and helping other Veterans. We participate in the American Legion Scholarship program, many local festivals and parades and we have a visitation program for Veterans residing in local nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.  We have a schedule of regular visitation to the local VA Medical Center to provide fellowship, encouragement and refreshments for the visiting outpatient Veterans.  We also support the Missing In America Project and have several members serving in the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The post will host social events throughout the year including a Veterans Day Celebration and Luncheon, golf tournament, Christmas Party and informal cookouts.   The membership and officers are always receptive to new ideas to build membership and serve our Veterans and foster the spirit of comradery and community.

If you are a Veteran interested in joining the American Legion Family, just visiting or returning member we are pleased to have you here.  Our regular scheduled meetings are the third Tuesday of each month year round at 18:30 and usually have refreshments and fellowship at 17:30.

We have much to offer new and prospective members of the Legion Family in addition to regular American Legion membership consisting of the American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and the Legion Riders.  Each organization has its own membership criteria and qualifying dual memberships are always welcome and encouraged.

Legion Family Officers are:

Auxiliary – Nancy Harwood President

Sons of the American Legion – Donald Allen Commander

Legion Riders – Darrell Rich Director
