Mountain Heritage Festival has been cancelled

With the ever increasing Covid-19 and Delta variant here and in neighboring counties, and at the request of our Mayor, Jim Conley, the Union County Historical Society’s Board has decided to cancel this year’s Mountain Heritage Festival on Labor Day Weekend.

Decisions like this are never easy, but they are necessary during challenging times.

Taking into account the rising number of hospitalizations in Union County, the well-being of our guests, vendors and volunteers, the decision was made to cancel this year’s event.

Judy Carpenter, President
Union County Historical Society
